What I really like about this recipe is that it evolved. Jennifer started with the shortbread crust. She wasn’t quite sure what type of topping she would use.
After some thought she added some caramel, then a layer of a sweet cream cheese and finally, pecans and toffee bits. Since the bars are versatile, she has some terrific suggestions for variations. Very nice recipe!
