I think one of the best suggestions is to select a recipe from a book, author, or website that you trust. Usually when we get a recipe from a friend or relative, we know that it’s a kitchen-tested recipe. So I would add that it’s smart to look for recipes that are marked as “kitchen-tested.” For online sites check out any user comments that have been added to the recipe. They can be really helpful.
