Super foods are nutrient dense and calorie sparse. As a result, they pack a big punch for their weight as far as healthiness goes. They are excellent sources of antioxidants and essential nutrients, which are nutrients our bodies need but cannot make.
This recipe, on the View from Great Island website, is for a Super Food Salad filled with healthy, nutritious and delicious super foods. Dark leafy greens, berries, nuts, cheese and more. The final salad is really a work of art. There’s also a recipe for a “super” salad dressing that uses one of my favorite seeds.
