I love shortbread ~ all buttery, crumbly and delicious with milk or coffee. This is Marie’s recipe for Scottish Canadian Maple Shortbread biscuits (cookies). The addition of dark Maple syrup adds a hint of maple. It’s a lovely recipe.
Marie is Canadian and uses some different terms:
- Biscuit = cookie
- Icing sugar = Confectioner’s sugar
- Clingfilm = Plastic Wrap
- Maple sugar can be found at some grocery stores, specialty stores or online here at Amazon
